Combustion of Solid Wastes
Research Cluster Overview
Research Cluster: Entrepreneurship and Resource Sustainability
Topic: Combustion of Solid Wastes
Theme: Clean Combustion, Waste Utilization and Industrial Decarbonisation
This cluster is developing combustion technologies for solid waste (agricultural, food, and urban waste) through the Fire and Combustion Research Center. The patented Advanced Waste Biomass Combustion Device (ABCD) supports clean energy generation and decarbonization. Research is directed toward sustainable and economically viable waste-to-energy solutions with applications in both industrial and food sectors.
Research Focus Areas
– Solid Waste Combustion Technologies
– Biomass Fuel Innovation
– Clean Energy Generation from Waste
– Emission Reduction and Decarbonization
– Waste-to-Fuel Conversion Applications
– Sustainable Industry Integration and Technology Transfer
Expected Outcomes
- Empowerment of entrepreneurs and industries to adopt sustainable decarbonization solutions
- Development of clean and resource-efficient combustion technologies
- Creation of training programs, courses, and outreach on waste utilization and combustion
