Research Cluster Overview

Research Cluster: Digital Revolution and Scientific Futures
Topic: Astronomy and Astrophysics
Theme: Key areas include Supermassive Black Holes (SMBH), Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), and Exoplanet Detection. Aligns with SDGs 4, 9, 13, and 15.

The Astrophysics group at Jain (Deemed-to-be University) delves into galaxy evolution through studies on Supermassive Black Holes (SMBHs) and AGNs, examining how these impact star formation and interstellar matter. Research also explores exoplanet discovery using methods like Radial Velocity and Direct Imaging to identify Earth-like planets. Interdisciplinary areas include archaeoastronomy, solar physics, and astronomy big data analysis. Students work alongside ISRO and IIA experts, developing skills and contributing to global scientific advancement.

Research Focus Areas
