Theme: Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary field that explores the complexities of gender, sexuality, and identity across cultures, periods, and structures. It critically analyzes social constructions and power dynamics influencing identities and promotes inclusion and diversity.
This cluster engages with concepts such as gender performativity, intersectionality, binary deconstruction, queer theory, and non-binary identities. It aims to challenge dominant social norms and promote greater equality and inclusivity through comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research.
Expected Outcomes
- Examine gender dynamics, social inequalities, and intersections of identity using qualitative and quantitative data
- Evaluate existing theories, policies, and practices assessing their validity and societal impact
- Synthesize insights from the research to formulate new theories or contribute to ongoing academic debates
