The Plant Stress Physiology and Environmental Biotechnology Research Cluster is dedicated to advancing our understanding of plant resilience, environmental sustainability, and innovative biotechnological solutions. Focused on stress physiology, phytochemistry and bioinformatics, and environmental biotechnology, the cluster explores novel strategies to enhance plant resilience, bioactive compound extraction, and bioremediation approaches using PGPR and microalgae.

Expected Outcomes

  • Develop innovative solutions that enhance plant resilience and promote environmental stewardship
  • Apply advanced biotechnological innovations in sustainable agriculture and environmental remediation
  • Demonstrate microalgae as a source for biodiesel as an alternate sustainable energy solution
